Casano’s has soft opened in Rutherford.

Dave Ligas (@theskinnypizzaguy) — formerly of Tavolino in Wallington — has opened the store at 8 Highland Cross.

He’s described the “new concept” as offering the “same staples pies” and a “couple of different options” from Tavolino.

Like most soft openings, the menu (View Menu) is still in progress and slowly being expanded.

Tavolino closed in 2022, but not before getting noticed by some of the state-wide media on their top pizza lists (Read Story).

It’s currently open six days a week (closed Tuesdays).
