NJ.com has shared their picks for New Jersey’s 21 greatest Puerto Rican restaurants (Read Story).

According to them there’s “no shortage of Latin American cuisine” around here, “especially” Puerto Rican eats.

With the Puerto Rican Day Parade hitting NYC in June and the “third-largest Puerto Rican population of any U.S. state”, they “celebrate this cuisine and its rich heritage” with the list.

Like many of these articles, the specific system used to determine the ranking wasn’t shared with readers.

Of the twenty-one restaurants named, only one was in Bergen County.

Which was Old San Juan Express in Hackensack.

They were highlighted for their “impressive” menu and “authentic” and “classic” dishes.
